Panasonic DMW-LA5E - Conversion Lens Adapter for FZ100, FZ48 and FZ45 I have been using this with the Close-up Lens, and they have produced some great pictures, flowers and insects, at a good working distance from the lense, but it's a good idea to use a tripod to keep things still and frame up the subject. Setting up the camera within the new limits of the autofocus took some getting used to. The zoom element of the camera moves within the Adapter, so the dimensions of the unit are constant which makes for easier handling. Screwing on or unscrewing the unit is easy when you get to know it.

If you are going to use an extra lens on your lumix fz45 then you need this adapter, you can't be without it, with this adapter and a tele conversion lens you get great pictures from a long distance away with no distorsion or blurring and you get an extra 1.7 magnification,this conversion lens adapter is a must.

You will need this adapter to affix the Panasonic Close-up lens and Tele-photo lens to your Lumix FZ40, FZ45 or FZ100 camera, it is made of tough but light-weight aluminium, it's not quite in keeping with the look and texture of the FZ range but isn't a massive problem (just one of vanity).
Unlike the lenses this isn't made in Japan, it's manufactured in China... this however doesn't seem to have had an affect on the usual Panasonic quality standards.
I can't really elaborate any more, it does the job for which it was made to do and is essential if you want to increase the capabilities of your Lumix camera.

This is an aluminium tube. One end attaches to the camera body, (not the lens) and on the other end there is a 55mm thread. Read more
