The DMW-BLD10E is a replacement battery for the Lumix G3 and GF2. It has a battery life of around 250-320 images, dependent on which camera and lens you are using. A replacement battery is essential for those who are likely to be using their Lumix camera for an extended period of time, and where charging the battery is not an option. It is also a more convenient and compact way of carrying more power than carrying the charger, especially when storage space is limited e.g. when going on holiday, or with limited space in your System Bag.

Next day delivery, boxed product, adequately packed. Only the price is outrageous, and that's not the seller's fault. Panasonic's move to reduce battery life without reducing battery cost may sell more batteries short term, but is a step in the wrong direction, IMHO.

Amazon Verified Purchase
The original camera batteries may be expensive but from experience I know that the compatible ones rarely work properly, so I would recommend this if you don't want to get caught out without any power. At least they are a lot cheaper on Amazon than from camera shops. Incidentally this battery is the same one that the G3 uses.

I'm guessing you are viewing this review because you are considering a second battery for your Lumix G3 or G2. Put quite simply this is a must buy. The life of the battery you get with the new G series camera is disappointing so having that fully charged second battery ready to go is essential. If you can afford to purchase a second battery then do not hesitate.
