This is a genuine Panasonic battery for the camera and, as you'd expect, works fine. I have several originals as these give you a battery remaining display on the GH2, and several non-Panasonic batteries for back up. It's the original, it's good...and as you'd expect from Panasonic it's a bit expensive, but for the original there seems to be no alternative.
The genuine Panasonic battery. I've used various third party batteries over the years but I think the original camera manufacturer batteries always seem to last longer.
