Just wanted to clarify that this is an exact replacement for the battery that came with my Panasonic GF1 micro four-thirds camera, a DMW-BLB13E.

I purchased this as a spare for the Panasonic GH-1 camera and it works perfectly. I went for a genuine spare battery as there are reports that a firmware upgrade made the GH-1 stopped it working with other (cheaper) batteries from other manufacturers.

Reviews of the camera state that a fully charged battery should be good for around 300 shots. If you are out for the day, and in the mood to take photos, you could easily exceed that number and will need to carry a spare battery. Yes it's expensive, so be sure to charge it up before dropping it into your bag!

Somewhat expensive but worth the money
I bought a generic, much cheaper, battery for my Lumix G1 some time ago and it worked for a short time then the camera just gave a text screen saying it couldn't use the battery. Read more

Panasonic battery
Branded battery and is good as expected. A bit expensive compared with non-branded, but did not wnt to take any chances with new camera.
