I bought this product to replace a previous Panasonic DVD recorder that had served me well for over five years. Sadly, the new model I received didn't come up the standard of the old product. This new one hummed, buzzed and vibrated disturbingly. I think one of the motors was constantly running when it should have been going into hybernation when not in use. Picture and sound quality on my own CRT television seemed fine and menus were easy to use, if a bit ponderous and slow. Would have kept the device were it not for the motor problem, so I returned the device to the vendor.

I needed help to set it up and as usual the instructions could have been more helpful but I have found it easy to use.
