A good sensor, smaller and lighter than a SLR but not as versatile as a Cannon
on 15 July 2014
Bought as wanted something better than a phone and smaller and lighter than a SLR to carry around, with the option of occasionally sticking a couple of old SLR lenses / filters on via a suitable adaptor, which the micro 4/3 range appears to promise. The camera has a good sensor, and is obviously smaller than a SLR but the menuing system I find fiddly and not as versatile as say the Canon EOS, but it can take a vibrant pic, after you've spent many an hour studying the rather dry instructional PDF (There are numerous instructional videos for full blown SLR's out on the web, but not a lot for micro 4/3 cameras). Not sure whether saving a 1/3 in size and weight of an SLR is worth the loss a 1/3 of the functionality and accessory options.
