The most important thing about a digicam is the picture quality
it produces. Am long time film photographer, bought the FX 30
as a pocket, carry anywhere miniature. Am delighted with the results.
The Leica lens is pin sharp and distortion free at any aperture setting,
with softness almost absent in the corners of the frame.
Cannot fault the auto focus or outside white balance, never had a bad
exposure. The 'natural' colour setting does need a tweek via unsharp mask
in Paint Shop Pro X2, Then, A4 prints are stunning.
A bonus is the Movie mode, it really does work, and frames can be isolated as a still.
The downside? There always is one, no aperture or shutter control,
but getting around this, in a way, by adjusting The ISO setting.
All in all, a fantastic piece of well built and specified piece of kit.
With results to put some DSLRs to shame.
