The recent upgrade from Class 4 Silver range was to assure outstanding writing performance for applications like Full-HD video recording and future 3D images. With 8GB of storage you can capture 2 hours of video recording or 2560 photos* allowing you to get the most from your SDHC card device. Class 6 is the minimum requirement for HD recording, as lower classes can cause juddering. With the fast transfer speed you won't miss a moment and your data is even more secure using an intelligent controller to protect it against power cuts.
Panasonic standard SD cards are exceptionally strong and have been put through rigorous bending and twisting tests. The results show that Panasonic standard SD card has twice as much resistance than a standard SD card; not only does this mean your Panasonic SD card is more durable but your data is better protected. The Class 6 cards are ‘Proof 4’ being Magnet proof / Shock proof / ESD proof / X-ray proof. For ease of use and archiving, the SD cards have memo labels that are easy to write on. I brought this card for my Panasonic TZ8 as it's specified in the manual that it requires a class 6 (or higher) card for smooth video capture. This recommendation is not obvious as it's buried in the manual on the CD: it's on page 77 (in regard to the TZ8).
I thought I'd try the 8GB, to double check compatibility, before moving onto larger cards in the range.
This card works flawlessly with my camera and yields around 8.5 minutes of HD (720) video, and just over 1,500 max quality photos. I'm very pleased with my purchase and will be buying higher capacity card in the future.

This is just about the minimum size/class etc recommended for my camera, and it works just fine. On a ten day holiday, snapping almost constantly, I didn't get anywhere near filling it up and the pics uploaded fine to my PC.
