5.0 out of 5 stars I have not been disappointed with this purchase 16 Sep 2010

I chose this item as represented very good value and that it was a best buy in a Which survey 2010.

I chose this item and make because it was to replace a 12 year old Panasonic microwave, if it lasts as long as my last one it will have earned its honours. If it does not I will amend the review.

I chose a white one because unlike stainless, it does not suffer from finger marks and it fits in with my kitchen.

I chose this item because I believed it was designed for men! For instance the first two programme buttons are:
1: CURRY
2: CHINESE

I chose this item because it has a `CHAOS' defrost button. Yes `CHAOS', that word gives it muscle, just like calling a babies push chair an `All Terrain 3 wheeler with outdoor attachments and puncture resistant tyres!' It appeals to men.

I chose this item because my wife said this is the one we are going to have and she demanded a Panasonic. If I had got anything else I would be making my own tea with it in the garage.

It is actually very good, works well, easy to clean, compact, energy saving and looks good. I have not changed my mind after road testing it for two weeks, at this price it is very good value for money.

My only gripe (my wife's actually) is that the timer buttons do not allow you to program individual seconds unlike our last one. The minimum input is 10 second intervals, she insisted I put this in the review but really it's no hardship.

5.0 out of 5 stars Big performance, small appliance 10 Nov 2010

I chose this because it was rated as a Which? Best Buy and because it was the smallest of their choices - my kitchen is tiny. It's been a success. It was even smaller than I'd expected and takes up very little of my precious worktop space but its oven is big enough for full sized plates and dishes. It's a bit of a Tardis! It is very powerful, don't even think about giving it another minute on HIGH just in case.....
It's easy to clean, no fiddly nooks or crannies, and the instructions are clear and concise. The "normal" oven works efficiently and the grill looks weird - you have to put in a wee tray on legs - but it's effective. So you don't need a toaster.
A good gadget all round and splendidly compact.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great product 16 Sep 2010

Have had this for a couple of months only, so at bit early to test reliability. So far, so good. It replaced the earlier model of this combi, which lasted 4 years, which replaced a similar Panasonic combi which lasted 10 years. They don't make 'em like they used to, but I am hoping it lasts a fair time, bearing in mind these items are getting cheaper, but do appear a little less sturdy. The only difference with this one is that on combi you have to heat up the oven, then add the weight and then cook,, whereas previously you pressed say 'Chicken', the weight and it cooked from start to finish. Now you have to go back to it when it's reached it's optimum heat - probably safer!
Operationally, what it says it does it does! If you don't mind White then it's fine, but no other colours. Looks clean and crisp. Inside it is brighter than my last one, so cleaning is easier 'cos it's easier to see any spills/splatters.
