This is a nice well made case - the leather is good quality and has a nice feel to it though not quite as luxurious as a Leicatime case. Once it is fitted it is necessary to remove the case (bottom half) to change either the battery or SD card - not too much of a problem except that to do this the 'pop fastener' needs to be undone and how durable this will be only time will tell. It's a pity that Panasonic do not offer a matching leather strap to match

This case is a perfect addition for camera with the 20mm kit lens. The fit, the leather used and the overall build quality are excellent, only the strap is not made from leather as mentioned before. If you want to take shots, you just have to open the cover at the two points left and right, flap it to the front and you can access all buttons while the cam rests inside the protection. There is no hole for a camera tripod at the bottom of the case, so you have to remove it completely, but this is not really a disadvantage in my opinion.
The case could be a little cheaper but quality has its price ;) I'd certainly buy it again!

This case is very well made from a soft grain leather with a dark red piping. Lovely detailing. It comes in 2 parts. The lower part (can be purchased separately) is not attached to the camera via a screw in the tripod socket, as is conventional, but by 2 leather "hooks" fastened by poppets. These go around the lugs of the camera and the lower part also features a nice solid base. You will therefore need to attach the neck strap for the camera in order to use this case. The upper half of the case, encloses the camera with the 20mm lens and is also attached via poppets, which seem to be made of the highest quality. The fit is snug and nicely lined to give your GF1 the best protection possible. A larger size is also available for the GF1 with 14-45mm lens attached but this is the case to get as you can just use the lower part, when attaching a zoom lens.
This is a very classy "ever ready" case and once you have this on your camera, you'll easily forget the price! I did.

Case arrived as described, new and all boxed up. A very simple, painless deal with an excellent price. The case is superb and even has a tripod boss in the base.

Good for the money
It is a good product and does the job but too expensive to get 5 stars. I am pleased I did buy it as it is protective, attractive and easy to use; so pretty good all round.
