This battery was bought as a spare for the one that came supplied with a camera. It is massively cheaper than the 'proper' item from Panasonic (Official Panasonic CGA S007 Rechargeable Lithium Battery for Lumix DMC-TZ1 TZ2 TZ3) and appears to work just as well.
I haven't had any problems with it, and the delivery was fast too.

I've ordered this battery on 10/06/09 (standard delivery) and it arrived on 11/06/09. I've charged it and it works properly and fits very well on my camera.
Congratulations to you all because it is a good product, the delivery was very fast and the price is cheap.
thanks.

These batteries are of very good quality and are the same life as the ones that came with my TZ5

If you need a spare battery for your Panasonic camera, look no further. Of course this is not a Panasonic branded one, but it works just the same, and at a fraction of the price. It may even be made by the same people that make the original, but simply branded differently. Top brands cost more for lots of reasons. I wouldn't compromise on some things, but this battery is certainly up to the job. Buy one or even two now!

I have had 3 previous non-Panasonic batteries for my TZ3.

One was low capacity and within a few months would hold no charge - useless.
Two Energizer brand batteries at about £9 each. One is very mediocre with about a third of the capacity of a full price Panasonic battery; the other is quite good, about 50-70% of the Panasonic, and going OK after two years.

I have now had one of these Sumnique batteries at less than £4 and it is excellent - holds charge well and lasts nearly as long as a Panasonic. When it arrived, it must have been threequarter charged because it was ready for use within twenty minutes and I was well worried - but it is very satisfactory as a sub £4 replacement for an branded item costing nearly eight times as much.

Having said all that, the Lumix original, which you can buy from Amazon is still going strong after nearly four years.

I am always a little suspicious of items usually described as 'fully compatible' with OEM products such as batteries for popular and well known makes of camera and camcorders. Often the very low price of the fully compatible product is taken to mean it is of an inferior quality. This is not necessarily so. OEM products are usually sold at a premium to make a profit for the manufacturer. Battery specialists can offer the very same quality at a much reduced price because their manufacturing overheads are lower.

This appears to be the case with this particular battery from a French supplier which I am trialing in a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 digital camera.

I have to say this battery lasts much longer than the actual Panasonic one which came with my TZ4. I'm so impressed that I'm ordering another one!

I bought this as a back up and I have noticed that it lasts the same amount of time as the battery that came installed in the camera, which is always a good sign, it came within a week and was adequately packaged
