I read this because Amazon linked it with The Path Between The Seas. The benefit of reading it is that it covers the other ports of call you will meet if you are joining a cruise. The information will help you to sort out your excursions.

Good general information about the Panama canal and its history. Includes general information about itinerary and details of Cruising from the USA.

I bought this book for friends who have sailed through the Panama Canal and are going again at the end of the year. They were thrilled.
The colours are wonderful, loads of information and of great interest to the traveller.
I have just returned from living in Panama for a few months and also found this book of great interest. The books sold in the shop at the Miraflores Lock on the Panama Canal were way too expensive to buy. Mark up prices on books I looked at were twice the listed price on the back.
Buy from Amazon before going away. Excellent value.
