It is easy to read, is packed with interesting information and beautifully presented and very well illustrated. It is honest and open, too, which I love the most. And as they say, very accessible. I like the way it is structured, too, giving everything one needs to know but not in that boring formulaic way that a lot of palmistry books seem to do. It isn't often a new book on any subject shows signs of being well researched, well written and nicely presented but this is definitely one of them. The author has gone to a lot of trouble to set down his ideas on modern hand analysis clearly, concisely and extremely authoritatively. He has employed a wide selection of good, clear illustrations by way of prints and line drawings that interpret the text well... This is a modern approach, he uses the 4-element style of hand shapes, Fire, Earth, Air and Water, and very good they are too there are no old-fashioned methods here. I was very impressed by the chapter on health matters. This section shows very good signs of being well researched indeed. With a good set of reference books listed in the back he has completed a palmistry work that needs to be on the shelves of any aspiring or presently practising professional. This is an excellent guide to palmistry – the author has found a way to reveal all the mysteries of the hand without teaching us everything line-by-line, chapter and verse. I’ve read dozens of books on hand analysis but this book is truly original and helpful. There are authoritative sections on love, sexuality, career, success and health – and the author, Frank Clifford doesn’t judge or condemn; he writes in a positive, encouraging way. I loved the DIY sections, the party piece and the way he helps readers grasp the essentials of the hand. The sections on the Head and Heart lines (as well as the Simian line) are the best I’ve seen.

This is one hell of a palmistry book and one I recommend to my students who are interested in reading hands (I teach astrology to a local adult education group). It covers everything from learning to time the hand to chapters on health, personality and work. It has it all - so comprehensive - and is among a handful of palm books that is both relevant, original and modern (and I do wonder what the other reviewer ABasic was reading when they wrote their review!). I've met the author, and it reads the way Frank lectures. He writes in a way that's honest, and it's based on experience and non-judgmental.

Whether you're a palm reading novice or an established professional who works with the hand to discover personality traits and life events, this is the book for you. It is joyously littered throughout with startling factoids based on current scientific research, but is largely founded on the author's many years of scrupulously documented observation. This is an engaging book, and is highly recommended by even this casual reader.
