Been using the Pre2 for a week now and I've found it to be a stunning piece of kit.
It's not only an alternative to the iPhone but I genuinely believe the software is superior. I'm still finding things on a daily basis which make me smile. OK the iPhone 4 has the hi-res Retina display and more apps but the version with the same storage (16GB) costs £100 more. While the Pre 2 screen is lower res, the display is still very sharp. I like the dimensions, a smaller chunkier unit is a much better fit in my pocket. I don't feel it needs a case due to having a tough gorilla glass screen and rubberised sides/back. If you want something as good but a bit different from the crowd I highly recommend you check it out. If HP/Palm could get the price of this down to around £300 SIM-free it would be really hot.

I previously owned a Palm Pre, the first version, and have just purchased this item. In my current experience it is much better: all applications are significantly faster, especially the calendar and email apps (which is lightening fast in comparison to the original Pre version). The wireless is nice and fast. The hardware is compact, handy and neat. The phone application and usage is a bit better regarding reception and signal strength compared to the original Pre, probably due to it being faster. The power button works reliably! The battery lifetime is better too: maybe 25-50% more. It's a shame we can't get this via the mobile carriers also to defray the cost! I think [...] is steep (but not steep enough to not buy it!), but it is a really nice bit of kit, much much better than the original Pre.

So easy to set up and sync with email. Really easy to use and great for multi tasking across different applications. Seem to have thought about everything. My 14 year old also thinks its realy 'cool'.
