It's a handy graphics card for it's 300 watt limit and specially it's price. Very good HD Quality and has all modern ports, VGA, DVI and HDMI. The card does what it says it does, it will let you watch videos in Full HD 1080p.

Note to all you people who never update your video/audio codecs. 1080p videos WILL lag if you are using standard codecs, or just default Windows Player or VLC Player. You have to install "K-Lite Codec Pack", it has more advanced codecs which will let you watch HD videos in higher quality and no lags/freezes.

Games: It's definitely not the gamers card. It will run Killing Floor on Low/Medium with 20-30fps. League of Legends might reach 40-50fps without shadows. Team Fortress 2 on medium might go alright. Don't get this card if you need it for games, this is a "Video Card" to watch High Definition videos, not playing modern games.

Having just built my Son a Pc I needed a video card that did not cost the earth but met the needs for his animation demands. I trawled Amazon and oringinally decided on a Sapphire 11166-02-20R HD 5450. This arrived promptly and I installed the card in the PC. After crash upon crash I returned the card to Amazon, and reorderd a Palit nvidia 8400gs. Brilliant card, with no fuss to install and no crashes. Recommend this card every time!!

I was having recent problems with a Radeon 512GB AGP (system crashes and unable to delete all ATI software easily) and decided that it was time to switch to an NVidia. As my system is able to take either PCI-E or AGP cards, I decided to make the switch. Easy to fit - just remember to change the BIOS settings - and within 10 mins I had my system back up and running. I'm not a heavy gamer but the sports games that I love (Madden 08, NBA, NHL and Tiger Woods) have all had a new lease of life! Brilliant card for video and picture editing and all that is required for the vast majority of everyday tasks.
I had a problem for about a week where I thought that the graphics card had contributed to a shutdown error. My computer was freezing on the blue 'Windows is shutting down' screen. It took awhile to trace it back to a USB port, so I'm not sure that the card contributed to the problem.
A word of warning for Linux users.... My system is Dual Boot. I had previously installed Linux Mint 10 and needed to go into recovery mode to enable the correct drivers for Linx to run this card. After that it has been superb. However, when trying to launch the new Mint 11 from a live DVD, the screen goes grey and nothing can be seen. This wasn't a problem that I havd encountered before and one I have yet to solve.
A great product in my eyes. It was dispatched in Scotland on Thursday lunchtime and arrived in the South West of England on Friday morning with Supersaver delivery.... Well done Amazon!

This Graphics Card, has totally rejuvenated my computer, and it is now like using a brand new computer, compared with my previous card. Well worth the money it costs, and as they say does what it says on the packet. Windows 7 is running as it should be, and the reason for its purchase was for use of SKYPE, which it takes well in its capabilities. Would recommend this to all thinking about a budget upgrade of Graphics. Item arrived on time, as predicted

I ordered this for my PC build. I wanted to build a decent system, but nothing over the top, thought I could get away with this 1GB card but it really didn't improve my video performance much at all from the 512mb card I already had in. The Windos Experience Index barely rated it had been put in and I found it too slow for my needs. However as a cheap alternative I imagine it might do ok if you know what you're looking for in this price range.

As soon as I put this thing into my machine (dual core 3ghz processor, 8gig RAM, 1TB Hard Drive), the whole thing crawled like time itself was put through the ringer. Why? Dunno. I used a more powerful graphics card on my pc previously (I have put that one on a new pc that is a lot faster than this one.) So, this is better (much) than the onboard graphic, less strenuous than the old graphics card I used in this machine.

But this graphics card would not work on my pc.

Maybe I have a singularly dud one, I do not know.

One thing is for sure though, my pc after a few attempts just would not start (even without the card inside), and I then had to take the disks out, and blank them. I surmised that maybe a previous driver or something had something to do with it. So, after blanking the pc and reloading Windows 7, I had another go.

Same thing happened. This graphics card... just didn't like me or my PC.

Frustrating to say the least. And a shame. Oh well, I am returning it, and will find another one. Thank God I back everything up!
