About the Author
John Press served with the British Council overseas for many years, and was Visiting Professor at University of Paris. He has published numerous collections of verse translations.

The Golden Treasury is always a joy if, like me, you are a fan of old fashioned poetry that rhymes and scans. One to collect.

Did not have John Masefield.s poems or 'Charge of the Light Brigade' and other well known poems that I am sure were in the original.
