Among the ingredients I saw listed in various recipes are rice, shredded cheese, bean sprouts, and potato starch. I do not believe these foods are generally considered part of a Paleo diet. The Paleo Fudge recipe seems like a silly slow cooker recipe, after cooking it for 2 hours you let it cool for 3-4 hours at room temperature and then stir for 10 minutes. Some of the recipes look like they would be worth trying.

I was really excited when I purchased this book. I'm always looking at doing a diet but because of my work schedule its very hard to do. That's why I was excited about this book. I could make it in the morning before work and it would be ready when I got home. Great! This book has some really good recipes in it. I especially like the Spaghetti Alla Carbonara. The author uses thin cut zucchini to make the "pasta". It's delicious. Good book.

This book starts out with a brief, but helpful explanation of the Paleo Diet. This diet copies the eating habits of the caveman. The diet has become more popular in recent times and is supported by some well known doctors.

The addition of a slow cooker to prepare meals is a huge bonus in reducing your time in the kitchen and the food in the slow cooker has a chance for the flavors to meld and develop very tasty meals using one appliance. This book does a great job of bringing the diet and the slow cooker together.

Recipes cover all types of meals from Breakfast, which is new to me coming from a slow cooker, to Soups, various Meat dishes and Desserts and some Vegetarian dishes. The book is well organized and the ingredients and directions are easy to follow especially with the use of a slow cooker. A modern way to cook an extremely old diet and reap the nutritional benefits without working in the kitchen all day.

A well written book with some interesting recipes. I will be trying the Chicken and Kale Soup and Salsa Pork Chops this week. I highly recommend this book because of the ease of using a slow cooker and the benefits derived from the delicious recipes created by the author, Charity Wilson.

I've always loved my slow cooker and since I started eating Paleo I haven't touched it. I figured I wouldn't be able to really use it anymore and just kind of ignored it. I was hunting for some Paleo resources and came across this book and was so excited! I love slow cooking, not only is the food delicious, I don't have to do much of anything! I just toss it all in and walk away until dinner time. Love this book and recommend it to anyone who loves slow cooking and paleo!
