Lustbader does it again. After a gruesome, gripping start Lustbader grows his characters with the storyline until you feel you can't put the book down. A complex serial killer is stalking the streets, attacking his victims with an unusual and vicious weapon. Using DNA from the crime scene a clone of the killer is "born" to help with the hunt for the Pale Saint. Religious preachers, shamanic rituals, brutal murders and controversial scientific procedures are all subjects of this 21st century thriller

Pale Saint
I have been reading library copies of Lustbader's books, but could not find a copy of Pale Saint in any nearby location, or any evidence that this book has been published in the United States--even though the characters and setting are American. The book does not have the strong oriental themes that characterize Lustbader's fiction, but does have the common themes of esoteric consciousness. I was surprised at the price and enjoyed having a book sent from Germany. I hope that other Lustbader readers will take advantage of its cost and availability. It is an interesting read.
