About the Author

Shazia Razzack was born in Rawalpindi, in Pakistan, and came to live in the United Kingdom when she was two. She took her BSc (Hons) in Human Biology at the University of East London before training to be a teacher and has been teaching in East London ever since. She lives in Wanstead, London.

Prodeepta Das was born in Cuttack, in eastern India. He is a freelance photographer and author whose pictures have been published in over 20 children's books. In 1991 Inside India, which he also wrote, won the Commonwealth Photographer's Award. Nice book - title and description give a pretty accurate idea of what it contains. Fun to leaf through it with my daughter. We don't get to Pakistan as often as we would like so this is one way of keeping it in her mind.

I was very pleased with this book. My 3 year old daughter enjoys the pictures and learned a lot about her mothers native country. The photographs in the book are lovely, the text is easy to read and the book gives a glimpse into the beauty of Pakistan.
