This book really inspired me to finally get started(and I am a lazy starter;o)
Steps are nice and easy to follow also for a complete beginner like me.
Allready produced a few peaces I'm rather proud of.

Can recommend to all beginners and semi experienced water colourists

This is such a useful book, written in a very aproachable style with lots of tips and step by step instructions. It would suit all levels from beginner through to those who are confident enough to experiment. Thoroughly reccomended.

This is a book by an excellent teacher. It teaches quite simply the basic approach to water color painting. It leads one from painting a simple object to more complex ones. The approach is gentle encouraging observation. It is quite analytical in its approach to color and how to use it when mixing or in using it to define light and form

Having recently attended one of Lesley Hollands excellent all day workshops I wanted to get the book as it takes you through much of the course. I like Lesley's style of water colour and the techneques used. Starting with the basics the book is an easy step by step series of well explained exercises which can be used to produce some really good advanced paintings whether or not you have attended one of her courses.
