I have purchased several books on silk painting, and every book have different subjects and techniques on how to paint on silk.Although the same materials can be used it is the different technique of the writer that makes the difference.Adding a little thing here and there.This book has wonderful ideas, selections and different techniques than the ones that I have purchased previously.
I strongly suggest be it a beginner or advanced student, you will learn new things by purchasing this book.

Variety of ideas about silk painting

Scarves, cushions, quilted panels, pictures, bags, umbrellas, sarongs, pictures frames, greeting cards, ties and other objects are beautifully painted on silk in this interesting book. Variety of ideas and techniques are presented and explained step by step. The cushion cover (Iznik Cushion Cover), with design inspired by the patterns on Turkish tiles, and the quilted wall hanging "China Birds" based on ancient Chinese bronzes, are two remarkable textiles of the book.
