Lesley Harrisons beautiful book is informative and has wonderful, colourful illustrations. The quality of Lesleys pastel work is superb, her love and understanding of the subject she has chosen to write about is evident. The book gives tips on materials & techniques to use to achieve stunning results. For both amatuer and professional pastel artists this book is a must have. Lesley takes you step by step through her own tried and tested methods and gives you lots of ideas to try out. A lovely book to own with clear informative illustrations.

This book has beautiful illustrations and really shows Lesley Harrison's love for animals. Through this book I became intrested in pastels and realised how realistic paintings can look, most of those paintings are like a photograph, each one with personality. You will learn to paint horses,dogs,cats,bigcats,wolves and baby animals as well as learn about the best pastels and techniques. This certainly is a great book for anyone who loves animals and is intrested in pastel painting.
