Tim Hardin is greatly under appreciated. Bobby Darin, a great artist in his own right, was helped in his later career by Hardin. Look for "Tim Hardin 9" for more late-period Tim. Musically and sonically head and shoulders above much of what has been produced since (1972). Check out his versions of Midnight Caller and Perfection.
