Reading through the other reviews for this software, the general impression is that users are satisfied, I would not disagree, but would add the following points. Firstly, although this is one of the easier programs to use, it still is reasonably complicated to begin with. The hard copy manuals are definitely an advantage but I felt that they could have been written better and users will need them open while working. It's probably as well to try out the 'Getting started' guide in full before doing anything serious. All of the advertised 'extra' software is not all what it seems, a lot of the add ons are only demo versions requiring further purchases, and this is also true for the watermarking feature, you need to subscribe to a rather pricey watermarking service in order to use this part of the software, have a look at your printer utilities software, some printers offer watermarking, like the one I use, Epson Stylus C42UX, no need to pay extra for it either! After overcoming the sometimes quirky and illogical way the program works, it is very capable software giving good all round results, a worthwhile point to note is that it is equipped with an enormous amount of filters for importing/exporting files in just about every format. Packaged with PSP 7.0 you also get Animation Shop 3, very interesting for GIF editing/creating, although I haven't experimented a great deal with that side. There is support for a large number of digital cameras, but typically not for mine! There is a way round it though so it's still useable. Bear in mind that the end result from any picture editing program is proportional to your own effort and abilities and how much time you are prepared to spend sat in front of the monitor. In general I think it's worth buying, if you are prepared to take time to read the books, like everything else, there are better programs, but at what price?
