Paint by DS is not fun nor is it creative. It's a long winded colouring in game with a lame attempt at trying to "train your brain" (as if the other 20 or so games don't offer these puzzles). You actually have to spend countless amount of time trying to imitate a picture. The stylus control is also very frustrating. You would have more fun spending your £20 on a watercolour set and paper and create your own paintings. This game is a travesty to art.

Being of an artisitic nature, I decided to buy this piece if software (if it can be called that) for my Nintendo DS. but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take my advice here and don't even considrer wasting your hard earned on this. It is not what you think it is and it most certainly is not the remotest bit interesting or addictive in any way at all. It is nothing more than a colouring in excercise, which could have been at least quite theraputic, but even that is not evident here as the tiny size of everything you are trying to work with, completely makes the whole thing an impossibility. Even when you use the zoom in feature on a certain part of the work it becomes tedious and difficult. The pictures that you are given here to work on are renditions of old, complicated masters that you can barely see, let alone try to colour in. I found myself trying to scroll through just to try and find a painting that was mildly interesting and practical to work with. Then there is the fact that no matter what setting or colour mix you seem to use, nothing behaves as it should, making the task of trying to create some kind of artistic result a big fat NO NO!... Please don't go there. You will regret it big time...

This game is not very good. You simply colour in pictures. The only remotly fun part of this game is the mini games that earn you new paint colours, brushes and frames. This game would probably only be good if you couldent use real paints for some reason but even then i dont think it would be really exiting. If you want to paint use real paints.

CRAP!!

Do not waste your money on this game!!

If you want to paint, try it for real. You will have much more fun.
