I have always wanted to play Painkiller ever since I heard about it and I dceided to buy this version of the game.

I knew little about this version until I received it in the post and found that it was 4 games in 1! An excellent bargain!

The DVD includes the original Painkiller and its expansion packs, Battle out of Hell, Overdose and Resurrection, adding countles more hours of gameplay.

The game itself is a first person shooter that has a more arcade feel as opposed to realism. This make the game more accessible and enjoyable to players.

Thge fighting is done in many huge gothic environments, ranging from cemetaries and mines to modern factories, medieval towns and castles.

In order to progress through the levels, the player has to kill a certain number of enemies to unlock the next section of the level. This may get repetitive after a while
but it's still fun to play.

Overall, this is a very enjoyable game for fans of shooters and with three expansion packs and the original game on one DVD makes this package excellent value for money.

Painkiller is an old fashioned (and very violent) FPS with great, modern graphics. In this collection you get all the add on packs for the game and its compatible with modern windows versions. The only gripe I had is that I couldn't install from the start up menu provided and had to install from the exe file on the disk, other than that Painkiller Pandemonium is great value for money and provides many, many hours of twisted entertainment.

This is an excellent shooter at the bargain price of a fiver!

Bear in mind that it is not really a recent title, so the graphics are not going to beat Crysis or the latest Call of Duty. However, this little pack is good value with the original game and three expansions included. There is at least one other Painkiller title out there with more, but not at this bargain price.

Just remember, this is an anti-monster action FPS game so is light on story and heavy on violent action!

PS: the install routine included has been reported to sometimes be unresponsive on Vista/7 systems. If this happens, restart Windows (the problem is something to do with a particular version of a system file) and run autorun/setup straight away without launching any other applications or programs.

Some games stand up on being rich in story, and this does have an alright one, but it's so fun because it's so good at letting you kill things in stylish and awesome ways with the best weapons in the history of EVER!
