Destroy new monsters, defeat bigger bosses, play new multiplayer modes. Picking up where Painkiller left off, Battle Out of Hell continues the story with our hero, Daniel Garner, surrounded by dozens of Hell's minions. Lucifer has been defeated, but Eve is unconscious at his feet, and Alastor is thirsty for blood. Battle your way out through a new single-player 10-level chapter against new and bigger villains.
Note: This is an expansion pack and you require a full version Painkiller game to play.

The problem was that as the games are getting more sophisticated and 'mission' led, they require a bigger and bigger slice of time to be invested in them before you get anything meaningful back. Being short of time, I really wanted something like the old Doom or Quake games - games that you can just sit down, switch on and have half an hour of blasting all manner of monsters and foes with some (but not all) thinking involved.
Well, Painkiller is it! It is a well programmed and well balanced shoot 'em up. It combines just the right level of strategy and thought requirement, together with heart pounding excitement. I played the game with my son, swapping over when one of us bit the dust. We played it in the dark and with the volume way up, and when the heavy rock sountrack kicked in (a sign that baddies were going to come out in their hoards) we genuinley felt the panic start and the nerve endings tingling.
The monsters are great and the levels are graphically superb, and if you want a game you can blast away at for 10 minutes or half the night, then this is it. Go get it now!
