PY PY (or Pie Pie or two Pi Symbols alongside each other) is a four-piece who sound like The Slits on too much speed. Their 7-track album/CD "Pagan Day" is on Black Gladiator BG008CD (a subsidiary of Slovenly Recordings - Barcode 888174257440) and features a three-way gatefold digipak with photographs of the band live and covered in spaghetti (nice).

It's clever to have Annie-Claude on echoed angst vocals as the boys’ trash about with the guitars and the bass gets slapped like it deserves it. This isn't so much Psych as Garage Punk with a modern day trash to it. Particularly good is "Molly" which sounds like a grittier version of The Motels while the drums and fuzzed-guitar of "She's Gone" sounds like Bow Wow Wow rocking like a mad woman with Hawkwind as the backing band - a huge sounding fantastic chugger.

It's impressive stuff and carries with it a healthy sense of fun too.
If the visuals match the sound - they're on a winner...
