Firstly I confess I am biased as I knew late Rev K W Parkhurst and also knew the editor, D H Calver. This 76 page booklet is a privately published collection of Ken Parkhurst's writings, observations, insights and prose; superbly put together by his friend the late Denis Calver. There is also a biography section at the beginning. This booklet has been reprinted three more times since the original print run in 1988, a year after Ken's death aged 80. Unfortunately only about 1,000 copies were eventually printed, but they do crop up from time to time on Amazon.

Finally I will repeat a short verse, called Remembrance, that Ken wrote for a bereaved friend. This has been read out at many funerals, including his widow's funeral in February 2012.

REMEMBRANCE
The years may come and go...
Alas so fast,
But memory sets aglow
A cherished past.
Though loving has its cost
And thus we wept
For all that we have lost,
How much we kept.
