A jack-in-the-box could be (and often is) labelled an old-fashioned toy, but this Paddington Jack-in-the-Box brings invaluable joy and excitement for youngsters.
The simplified Paddington is housed in a brightly decorated square tin box with different "Paddington Poses" around the sides--Paddington with balloons, Paddington getting ready for bed and Paddington day dreaming on his suitcase, to name but a few. The colours are mainly red and blue and match the coat and hat of the hidden Paddington.
To the right hand side of the box is the musical handle that plays "Pop Goes the Weasel" at a different speed depending on the enthusiasm of the turner. (It is rather amusing at double speed!) As the tune continues and reaches its climax, Paddington springs from the box to bring a smile to everyone's face. He is easily pushed back into the box and then the fun can start again.
