There is a huge amount of competitor products, all with mixed reviews and moans about something or other. After a lot of research I went for this one - simple / no wheels / robust carry straps / good price. I took the view that at this price if it gets destroyed its not the end of the world as long as the clubs aren't damaged.

Now been subject to air travel twice. result: simple / no wheels / robust carry straps / good price and most importantly, clubs undamaged in any way - I did use clothing etc to provide additional packing which is a double benefit as it enabled me to just take a "carry on" for the rest of my holiday clothes.

I am delighted with this bag, wheeled ones are easier to transport but in reality, are more susceptible to damage and if you think about it, its not a major problem to carry a golf bag a few hundred yards at a terminal!!!

Very strong strapping, robust construction, highly recommended.

I have just returned from my first foreign trip using this bag to protect my clubs. It proved its purpose very well, although I did feel the need to provide some additional padding to the club heads (in the form or bubble wrap). As it is not a solid case and only has minimal padding I would definitely recommend this. I also left my driver at home, as I was worried the longer shaft would not get the protection it required.

Generally, this is a good size bag and very comfortable to carry. It has the added bonus of good luggage space inside allowing me to put my shoes and wets in too. A good price and, so far, value for money.

Ideal for purpose. It arrived the next day of ordering. Already used it for a three week's holiday in Florida. Stood up to all the travelling. Robust and great value for money.

Just been away with it and wholly impressed with its performance. Cannot fault it at all. Lightweight and considerably less bulky than the wheeled models. No damage to either bag or clubs during travel. Would recommend wholeheartedly

Functional product, good zip and handles, but not much padding for club heads. Took it to Portugal on Easyjet. Economical.

Very lightweight indeed, not having wheels and the structure that goes with them makes this holdall ridiculously light. Good straps. As others have said a little packing round club heads is a good idea. Got a full set in, shoes and a brolly( was going to Scotland!!), about 8 golf balls and was only at 11.1 kg against 12kg weight limit. Happy days!

I do read these reviews before I buy anything from Amazon and while this item received mixed reviews, I went ahead anyway.

The item certainly doesn't look bad and the straps and zips appear strong (only used once though) but I did find the bag material quite weak. I've used it on two BA flights and the bag now has lots of small rips at the very bottom. Airport baggage staff are not known for being careful with luggage (having seen my bags tossed left, right and centre on numerous occasions) but the rips were probably caused by the bottom of the metal stand built in to my golf bag. Given that most bags have built in stands these days, I'm surprised the manufacturer didn't provide extra padding at both ends (it is padded at the top).

Anyway, despite this obvious design flaw, I'll keep using it and will wrap up the bottom of my golf bag with bubble wrap next time, for extra protection.

Can't fault it. Considering the cost of this item it was great. Was taking my clubs on holiday to the Silver Coast in Portugal and didn't have any problems with this product. I deliberately choose a bag without wheels as most of those with wheels had received poor reviews. All in all, a great product at a fair price. Look forward to using it on my next golf trip!

Perfect to protect your clubs, just add bubble wrap around the iron heads and the bag will provide the rest. You could spend more, but you would get a bulky heavy bag that would offer minimal additional protection, and after all you need to be within the constraints of your carrier as regards to weight.

Having just returned from a far eastern holiday on which I took a full set of clubs in a medium sized stand bag, involving six flights.
My clubs and golf bag survived unscathed, however, the travel cover took a bit of a hammering and sustained damage. Small holes were punched out where the fabric has abraded against the frame of the stand, and a two inch rip has opened up in the base of the cover. I did pad out the top of the bag with bags of spare clothing, in hindsight I think the damage my cover sustained would have been avoided if I had wrapped a towel around the stand bracket, and also placed a towel or similar in the base of the cover.
Pretty good cover for the price, just be aware of the weak points where there is a lack of padding and make your own.
