The TravelSafe series is the "Fort Knox" of security featuring Pacsafe's Ultimate Lock & Leave system as it is slashproof, snatchproof & tamperproof. The Ultimate Lock & Leave system is an eXomesh lightweight and slashproof high-tensile stainless steel mesh laminated between layers of durable fabric. The mesh is laminated around the whole surface of the bag making it completely secure. The top is closed securely with the integrated heavy duty stainless steel cable, proving maximum security for the traveller, this means that you can encase your belongings in the secure bag, lock it closed and lock the travel safe to a secure fixture.

The 12oz canvas ensures that your belongings stay dry.
Locking bead
The polycarbonate locking bead on the heavy duty stainless steel cable clicks into place on the locking device to secure the opening of the TravelSafe.
Locking device
The Pacsafe's unique locking device is metal reinforced and made from high-impact resistant polycarbonate - the same laminate used in bullet-proof glass.
Padlock
The hardened shackle brass padlock is included with the TravelSafe, this enables you to securely lock the TravelSafe to a secure fixture.
The TravelSafe is an ideal portable safe as it folds small and is easy to take with you whenever you need to Lock and Leave smaller valuables such as a passport, cash, a point and shoot camera or an Ipod. It is particularly handy for securing your valuables in your hotel room, suitcase, vehicle or even at home.

I think this is a fantastic idea. Its small enough to take away with you on holiday and is ideal for storing passports, phones, extra credit cards etc. Your not going to fit your DSLR in there but that's not what it was designed for.
I usually lock this somewhere out of the way like under the sink or in a cupboard for extra security.
It won't stop a determined theif with bolt cutters but will save you you from opportunistic theft by cleaners etc.
Would recommend to others if for nothing else than keeping your passports in.

I have used my travel safe 3 or 4 times since buying it almost a year ago, and find it an important piece of kit when travelling. It will provide a reasonable level of security for your valuables and money, and would deter most opportunist thiefs.
I understand what other reviewers are saying with regards to the possibility of a thief cutting a hole in the material and taking cash or jewellry etc from between the large mesh webbing.
I combat this 'potential weak-link' by putting any small items along with my cash etc inside a small 4" metal cash box, which I then place inside the travelsafe.
Its always better if you can secure your travelsafe to a suitable anchor point which is out of sight.

I used this when travelling to South Africa and it was a necessity in Hostels, easy to secure onto bed frames and such, the material is slash proof so the gap in the metal mesh shouldn't be that great a problem, alternatively i put my cash and stuff inside a wallet inside the pouch so that even if it was ripped someone couldn't get the cash out of the wallet. I just think the Pacsafe products are over priced, i'd buy one of the big metal chain mesh things for a whole bag but it costs half the price of the bag.

Well-made but the mesh is too big
