Funny and Witty 26 Jun 2003

Format:Paperback
A Pack of Lies is a very interesting mix of comedy, adventure, horror, romance, tragedy, mystery; the list goes on. Following Ailsa and her mother as they struggle to keep their antiques shop alive, MCC Berkshire soon comes into their life. He is a mysterious man but very good for business; telling tales to potential customers and convincing them that what they are interested in buying is unique and well worth the money.

This is a witty tale with more than one shock in the ending. Comes highly recommended to children and adults alike.

The book was quite good overall, although it was hard to understand at the end.You would have to be about 11 + to enjoy the book,i would give the book 6 out of 10 , we like all the different types of stories ( horrors , romance etc) in the end chapter its really difficult to understand what has happened though the ending is clever. The charachters are really good and the different types of people who came into the shop and their different personalties , anyone who likes all types of stories will like this book.At the end of the book there is some questions that you have to anwser, there are questions to do with each chapter.

we read a pack of lies at school. our english teacher is the most boring, dull and tedious ever. She said she loved the book- i can see why. The book was also boring, dull and tedious... I, (and most other students) did not care for it; we are more into the action and adventure genre. But some people might enjoy it, however, they would probably have to be boring, dull and tedious.
