Pac-Man & Galaga Dimensions is a great game in every way, 6 amazing games in one cartrige with online leaderboards for all titles. I will say a little about each game included.
Pac-Man:
A perfect emulation of the original Pac-Man from 1980 with nice controls. There are many options to change how you view the game which is a nice surprise, you can choose to have the 3D make it look like you are looking down into an arcade machine, you can choose which arcade cabinet you are using, you can choose Japanese or US side art, or you can view it like Pac-Man and the ghosts are hovering over the maze using the 3D. There are achievements to try and complete aswell to add to the replayability and a continue feature is also included so you can try and make your way through all 255 levels! Online leaderboard is present.
Pac-Man Championship Edition:
A very good port of the amazing Xbox Live game, much better controls than the Xbox may even make this version better than the original CE. Like classic Pac-Man you go round a maze eating dots, but this version has been refined fore score attacks, you have 5 or 10 minutes to get as many points as possible, there are no levels like on the original, eating a fruit makes more dots appear and the speed gets faster and faster the longer you play. The 3DS version has lovely 3D effects on the game, the maze outlines have a 3D effect as do the numbers for points getting scored. Online leaderboard is present for championship mode.
Pac-Man Tilt:
One of the new games is Pac-Man Tilt. Pac-Man Tilt takes all the elements from classic Pac-Man and rearranges them into an extremely fun sides-crolling platformer. Pac-Man must make it to the end of the level safely whilst managing to eat all of the dots and fruit in the level. There are ghosts around which will try to attack Pac-Man which can be eaten with help of a power pellet. Its a nice surprise to see a tilt controled game on the 3DS as the gyro sensor has generaly been ignored so far.Tilt controls are used in a pretty unique way, instead of using tilting to move your character, you use tilting to move the environment, walls can turn into stairs, swinging platforms are able to rotate and Pac-Man will roll down flat land that has been turned into hills (3D has been removed due to tilting, not a problem because the game looks beautiful without it). Lots of new features introduced on the 30 increasingly challenging levels and there are goals to achieve on each level keep the game entertaining for ages. There are lovely colourful environments, a cheerful soundtrack and cute character design. I would have bought this for Pac-Man Tilt alone. Online leaderboards are present on the unlockable level EX1.
Galaga:
A perfect emulation of the original Galaga, all viewing features from the original Pac-Man are present including a continue feature and achievements. Online leaderboards are included.
Galaga Legions:
A nice port of the Xbox live game. Like the original Galaga you control your ship and shoot alien bugs that fly onto the screen in formations. Bugs fly in very complex formations so a line will appear showing where the bugs will fly in from, you can also place down two guns from your ship anywhere on screen to shoot so its like you're in 3 places at once! The game looks very nice in 3D and controls nicely using the analog stick and buttons. Online leaderboards are present in adventure mode.
Galaga 3D Impact:
The other new game, first person Galaga! A rail shooter where you move the 3DS to move the gun of your ship, you can shoot bugs with your laser, or use your tractor beam to gain special abilities such as force fields and bombs. You have to make your way through the 5 stages without losing all your shield. Vere nice graphics are present and bugs actually resembel the bugs from the original which is a nice touch. If moving the 3DS with the 3D makes you feel sick, Namco were kind enough to add in analog stick control aswell. Online leaderboards are present.
Also the menus are nicely done and the intro movie is great but last but not least it includes a trailer for the new 3D Pac-Man cartoon airing in 2013, it looks amazing on th 3DS and is a nice bonus for Pac-Fans like me.
I cannot fault this game, buy now!!!
