Book Description

16 Oct 2006
Are poltergeists energy fluctuations in the Zero Point Field? Could even the simple experience of déjà vu be explained by the quantum theory of parallel universes? Do thoughts have the energy to manifest and move physical objects? PSIence introduces readers to the latest discoveries in quantum physics and New Science that may explain the existence of paranormal phenomena--UFOs, ghosts, poltergeists, mysterious apparitions, time anomalies, the Bermuda Triangle, energy vortices--and psychic abilities such as ESP, telekinesis, remote viewing, and recalling past lives. You'll explore the cutting-edge ideas that are fascinating both scientists and paranormal investigators, including: *The latest theories of multiple universes and eleven dimensions. *The Zero Point Field--is it the potential source of all creative energy? *The potential of every human being to experience the paranormal. Many of the world's leading scientists, researchers, philosophers and spiritual leaders--from noted physicists like Michio Kaku to the revered Dalai Lama--are beginning to accept the possibility of alternate realities and dimensions that warp time and space. PSIence takes the reader on a journey to where the "normal" and the paranormal intersect, where the known and unknown converge, where science greets the supernatural.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Fantastic Buy 23 Feb 2008
Format:Paperback
I was bought this book as a Christmas present last year after seeing it here on Amazon and putting it on my list for santa ;)

This book is a fantastic read for anyone interested in the paranormal who thinks about the reasons why we continue to experience strange occurences the world over. The book covers M theroy and string theroy (as well as many others) and gets you thinking about the quantum world around us.

I would reccomend this book to anyone, however it may be worthwhile reading other titles to get a good grounding on the basics of quantum physics, though saying that, the author does go into some great detail when explaining her ideas.

A word of warning though. You may not want to read this book before you lay down to bed as it will set your mind racing thinking about the implications of the quantum world. Great read!

5.0 out of 5 stars A "Must Read" for anyone seriously interested in the paranormal 10 Jan 2007
By Ghostlady - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Many of the words used in the other reviews such as "phenomenal" and "mind-blowing" are truly valid in describing this book. As someone who has always been interested in the paranormal (esp. ghosts, ESP and precognition) I have always felt there must be some scientific basis for people's experiences that we just don't understand yet. The author explains quantum physics in a way that makes it understandable, yet opens all kinds of possibilities to chew on. I found the concepts of multi-universes and her explaining the Zero Point Field that is all around us as an infinite source of energy and "vibrations" fascinating. The ideas of quantum physics are so interesting and the author makes a basic explanation of it very readable. I have no physics backround at all and was able to follow her presentation of various aspects q.p. I found her applicaton of theories to different "unexplainable" phenomena fascinating, and would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in the paranormal.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must-read for anyone interested in the paranormal 6 Mar 2007
By Nick Redfern - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Countless books have been written on the subjects of UFOs; ghosts; poltergeist activity; ESP; remote-viewing; Bigfoot; Mothman; and more. But few have attempted the daunting task of trying to make some collective sense of these (and numerous other) mysteries of this world and beyond.

Marie Jones, however, has taken that step and has come up with a fascinating and expertly-written book that offers an ingenious, thought-provoking, and wholly plausible theory to explain the presence in our world of the aforementioned oddities.

If you are a well-read student of such issues, someone with merely a passing interest in the world of the unknown, or completely new to the issues at hand, you will not be disappointed.

Written with clarity, humor, and an easy to understand style, PSIence is a book that you definitely need to read if you want to learn about the groundbreaking discoveries in the field of quantum physics, and the way in which those same discoveries may finally be able to throw some much-needed light on those shadowy realms, and strange creatures that (from time to time, at least!) seemingly co-exist with us.

I look forward to Marie Jones' next book; and so should you, too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Paranormal Phenomena easily explained 2 Nov 2006
By Love to learn - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Ms. Jones' new book PSIENCE explains new discoveries in quantum physics and how that relates to paranormal phenomena in an easy to understand language. I found this book to be a fascinating read. I had been looking for a good book to cover a lot of the questions that I have about this phenomena, Ms. Jones really knows her stuff. She makes the material exceptionally reader friendly. I highly recommend this book to anyone who questions paranormal phenomena and wants to know the real truth.
