These Headphones really are top quality, the sound itself is so much more crisp and detailed than normal headphones and most top of the range, these are far better than the Bose Quietcomfort 15's in sound quality, much deeper and richer, i have to say I'm simply amazed with these headphones and would recommend them to anyone.

The noise cancelling is slightly better in the Bose, but it still does a decent job, and is obviously best at low frequencies, with music playing, plane noise is not noticeable, I've also noticed it is excellent at keeping out car engine noises, i was sitting right next to my window with the window open, with my friends noisy diesel car running idle outside, i did not even realize he had out there for about 10 minutes even with no music playing!

They also feel very sturdy, and good quality, heavy enough to notice the quality but not to heavy as to make them uncomfortable to wear. also with metal brackets so its less breakable

It comes with batteries (energizer) a pair of spare earpads, 2 headphone wires, cleaning cloth, a beautiful hard case, an airplane adapter and other plug adapter. they headphones also fold on a closed metal bracket. it also comes with booklets and a quick start guide to help you with the batteries, but that does take some practice to get the cover off!

you can register your product on the PSB website the serial number is on the bottom of the box under the barcode on a silver sticker, remember to do this and to keep your receipt incase of repairs ( not that i think it will be needed)

All in all this Canadian companies first try at headphones is amazing. I'd say they were the best noise cancelling headphones ever to be created. well worth the investment.

Simply Amazing.

Mr. P Barton the genius behind PSB speakers took a very long time to produce these, he even held back production till he was completely satisfied with the sound these created. His passion for perfection is the reason he has been designing some of the best speakers (regardless of cost) for over 40 years!

I have owned, tried and tested MANY headphones/earphones over the years, ranging from stock buds that you get with MP3 players to hi-end and modded headphones like the renowned Grado RS-1 (owned for 2 years). I am not the be all and end all of headphone reviewers but I know a good set of cans when I hear one and these PSB's are a very good set of cans.

They produce a very clear, clean and neutral sound, are very comfortable and for an added bonus have active noise cancelling. I never thought I would use the noise cancelling unless on a plane but alas when mowing the lawn or hoovering it is very useful. You do lose some of the sound quality when using NC (noise cancelling) but that is just how NC headphones are. They isolate well (as they should for a closed can). The soundstage is as large as you'll ever need (and I love a big soundstage). Separation is precise and in some cases the instruments sound like they are coming from different drivers (speakers) within the cups. Which s a very difficult art in producing headphones (from what I've read anyway).

I have tried other NC headphones, a few from BOSE, the QC15 being the latest. I have also tried Monster Inspiration and also Monster Beats. I can categorically say that the PSB's are better than all of the other "phones" stated and by a long way to. The Bose were closest and I would say the NC is better on the BOSE but in the sound dept the PSB's are much better.

I've had these headphones for a month now and waited to try them out on planes/trains/automobiles (good film) and also in the comfort of my own home before reviewing.
First point, I have a big head. It's 7&5/8s. I've just been to Texas and Nashville and trying to get a cowboy hat was a nightmare. A top hat for a wedding had to be ordered in especially for me once. My cycle helmet sits on the top of my head rather than my head being in it. I'm a big fella though so don't look like one of the bobblehead toys...I'm no freak.
Now I've said this I have to say I find these headphones comfortable. I've used these for a couple of hours regularly on the train and also for a long haul flight. Usually they're on for about 2 hours and just the once on the flight I kept them on for about 4 hours. Apart from my ears getting warm, which happens with every pair of closed headphones I've ever used, these have been great. I mention this as the most negative reviews on here seem to be about comfort. These reviews almost put me off buying them, I'm glad I didn't listen to their opinions too much as these are the best headphones I've ever owned or tried (apart from a pair of Grado's that were £700!).
I could go on and on about the sound. They are fantastic. These are damn good and way better than the Dre's that I've tried side by side on the train. They cancel the noise of the rumbling of the train on the tracks amazingly well. So well in fact that I got a shock on taking them off when I realised how noisy trains are! I see people on here have said the Bose are better at noise cancelling, I can't really reply to that as I have only tried the Bose in a shop. I can however say that these sound a hell of a lot better than the Bose headphones for normal listening. I took the PSB's into a Bose store to compare and a staff member even admitted he thought they were better.
Is £270 a lot to pay for a pair of headphones? For me, yes. Have I regretted it? No, not once.
Love 'em.
