Is the PS3 worthless on a scart TV (32")? - If it is im currently prepared to buy i bravia 42" HD ready sony TV 1080p, is it worth it to get a big fancy TV, or just keep my scart. *NOTICE: i am not a fan boy of 360, i am just asking which TV i should get/keep...*
Yes its worthless on scart connection. You get the same quality as if you were using the PS2. BUT with HDMI cable and a HDrdy flatscreen you get the ultimate feeling in games and watching blu-rays. Looks great with HDMI!
Definitely buy an HDTV, even a 720p one. You miss out on a lot of in-game information and your overall gaming experience will suffer if you use an old SDTV. Nearly all PS3 games are designed to run on HDTV, that doesn't mean you won't be able to play them, but you'll be missing out on so much. I'm currently trying to sell my grandmother so that I can get an HDTV because I've reached a point where I can't compete in online gaming due to not being able to see who's shooting me (COD4) or where the ball is (FIFA09), very annoying indeed.
Well thanks everybody, id take it ill need to buy a big HD TV 1080P bravia sony... so on so on... But one more question, what the hell does 1080p mean, is it better than HD ready, because id rather have good graphics and save some money to buy lots of games...
1080 p is the number of lines of pixels vertically up the screen, so hd ready is usually 720p, or 720 lines o pixels vertically, 1080 i is better than 720p but not as good as 1080p, 1080p is the way to go, the difference at large sizes of screens is very noticable
