...and we've used a lot! Our labrador likes to pull and he was incredibly difficult to handle when he was about 1 1/2 years old a few months ago. We tried a number of non pull harnesses - one from pets at home, another by ancol (both of these had straps that went under the front legs), two harnesses with attachments on the top of his back (one made by ruff wear that made the problem even worse!), and the gentle leader and halti. None of these made any difference, and as I mentioned, some made his pulling even worse.
After reading about this on an online labrador forum, we decided to purchase it. Service from FoF was excellent and this harness has finally been the one to manage his pulling! We don't remember if it took a day or two but it seemed almost as good as the halti (which worked but he hated it and made walks very unpleasant) once we got used to using it. He now just walks to the end of the lead and, at worst, tugs just a bit when he's very interested in something nearby). The harness is very well made - we've had it for several months now and he's gone swimming in ponds and the ocean with it on with no problems. It washes easily and dries relatively quickly. It's a little tricky to fit at first - we spent almost a half hour trying to get it right, watching videos online from the manufacturer to see what to do. Even then it took some tweaking over the next few days to get it comfortable. Once it's sized though, you can forget about it and just put it on. The buckles are strong and have kept the tension on the straps well.
We felt motivated to review this harness after we took it off last week and put his lead on his collar (which we never do) in order to take him to the vet, and forgot how much he pulled. We never thought we'd find anything that would have helped as much.
