About the Artist
DENNIS LOCORRIERE has a voice which is immediately recognised the world over but his own story is now so much more than Dr Hook. His contemporary achievements now feature three brand new releases, the first being the first publication of WHATEVER S BURNING NOW a Book of his Poetry & cartoons, a LIVE DVD filmed whilst on tour with his band last year and . with bonus studio and live tracks and a 32 page brochure with extended artwork containing liner notes and insights from Dennis himself on each track detailing how each was written / conceived and recorded..CONTD.... Dr Hook really was only the early part of Dennis Locorriere s story. He appeared in a major movie with Dustin Hoffman. He starred at New York City s Lincoln Centre in a universally acclaimed one man play The Devil And Billy Markham written by Shel Silverstein especially for him. He has written songs that have been recorded by a wide variety of other artists including Bob Dylan, Jerry Lee Lewis, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Southside Johnny, Crystal Gayle, BJ Thomas, Olivia Newton-John and Helen Reddy. Dennis starred as part of the all star line up for the Dear Mr Fantasy Concert at The Roundhouse in London in 2007 alongside Steve Winwood, Paul Weller, Pete Townshend, Yusuf Islam, Joe Walsh, Gary Moore, Bill Wyman, Jon Lord and a host of other stars celebrating the life and career of Traffic founding member Jim Capaldi and was also special guest with Bill Wyman s Rhythm Kings for their UK tour in 2008 and at Joe Brown s 50th Anniversary Concert at The Royal Albert Hall the same year . Music magazine MOJO recently asked Dennis to be involved in their re-recording of The Beatles classic album Let It Be which featured on their cover in September 2010 and they also released a limited edition vinyl copy which became an instant collectors item.

Great value from Amazon!
DL's first two albums, remastered and with additional tracks added, nicely presented in a great little boxed set.
New liner notes from Dennis, including some new photos and a description of each of the tracks and lots of background information. The album artwork from 'Out of the Dark' and 'One of the Lucky Ones' is used on the labels of each CD.
The sound is GREAT and it's lovely to have 'Natalie' and 'Dancing Inside' AND the single version of 'Shine Son' included with all the other great tracks.
So glad I decided to get it. Recommended.

I have enjoyed Retrospection so much it,s the best tenner iv,e ever spent! Dennis Locorriere,s voice is moving and heartfelt, Shine Son written about his only son Jessejames reduced me to tears it,s so powerful, if you don,t buy this , or experience his live show you are missing something wonderful and you will want to go back again and again!

I saw Dennis Locorriere on his Post Cool tour in 2010 and the show was absolutely wonderful.
This DVD captures the excitement of the concert brilliantly and the double CD is a nice addition for those who want to take the experience into the car with them.
Great song choices from DL's 3 solo albums with a handful of Hook hits thrown in to please and appease his older fans (What a great version of Queen of The Silver Dollar!).
But it's the Post Cool songs that really shine here.
The band is first rate and DL, as always, ROCKS!
