I bought this guy primarily because I wanted a compliant, helpful and serene model to practise my flash photography settings with. My daughter and stepdaughter have a tendency to get bored and want to go off for food and drink - it's just not convenient.
We have a life-sized skull and a phrenology head at home so this will be the third extra humanoid head in the house, but the skull (Fred The Head) doesn't have a nose (so he's rubbish for photography) and our phrenology head is made of pot so he's too shiny.
This guy will be attached to a tripod and/or broom handle for photographic lighting reasons, but he'll also be inserted into a false hood this Hallowe'en on my shoulder. There's a very good chance he'll sit on a shelf at home wearing any combination of glasses, hat and/or wig from our dressing up box. When we're on holiday he will sit near one of the upstairs windows where he's just about noticeable, keeping a comforting polystyrene eye out for anyone who's looking in during the evenings.
So, he's a model; he's a security guard; he's a key part of an outfit; he's a thing of fun. Money well spent, I say.
