An intriguing little book that explains how to get out of the box and stop suffering from the 'there's only ONE answer to any problem' syndrome.

This book interweaves with other DeBono books like 'Surpetition' and 'Serious Creativity', where PO is mentioned but not explained as completely as here.

The book suffers from the usual DeBono problem - a brilliant concept which can pale because it's been dragged out into a commercially saleable size to make a book. I always get the feeling that 90% of the useful content of DeBono's books would fit in 15 pages rather than 150! I suggest you dip into it rather then sicken yourself by total immersion!!

Well worth a read if you're a DeBono devotee like me, otherwise try starting with one of the two other books mentioned above. DeBono really turned round my way of looking at the world and I'd recommend anyone to try at least one of his books - just be prepared to give his style some perseverance.

This was my first exposure to de Bono and lateral thinking. I found it immediately available -- it made perfect sense instantly. Haven't read too many books like that! I'm glad this was the first one I read, because po seems to me to be a cornerstone of a great way to learn to think. Wish it was still in print. Cheapest one here is £39.

THE MOST REVOLUTIONARY BOOK EVER WRITTEN 13 Dec 1998
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This is the first book of de Bono's that I read and it completely changed my entire thinking and life. I have become an avid reader of all his books and they have influenced me profoundly. I believe that Dr. de Bono is the most revolutionary thinker to have ever existed. He has changed my views of myself, society, philosophy and indeed existence. I believe that the very simple concept expounded in this book is what will make the difference to enable the human race to have a positive future.

Creativity At Its Best 18 Feb 1999
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I am a fan of de Bono's as well, and I truly believe that this is the best book ever written. De Bono is the pioneer of lateral thinking, and this is most certainly a prime example of his genious. I must agree, that this is the most revolutionary peice of literature ever created.
