Product Description
The layout of PlayStation 2's Duals Shock 2 controller is nearly identical to that of the original PlayStation's Dual Shock controller, which is good news for most gamers. The main new feature is that, when the buttons are pushed, the controller can register how much pressure is being exerted. This adds a completely new dimension to sports, racing, fighting, and other games. Aside from the Start and Select buttons, all of the functions are analogue for greater control, a wider variety of operations, and a more compelling interactive experience. Two convex analogue thumb pads and two force-feedback solenoid rumblers round out the features. This controller is also compatible with all software that supports the original Dual Shock controller.

Fun:
I bought this on the basis of price & reviews saying it worked fine. First impression was that it looked cheap and also found that the short cable meant that I had to sit on a footrest to play, but thought I could live with that.
Then I found one of the shoulder buttons was inclined to stick on. Kept calm and carried on.
When all of the buttons refused to function in rather less than a month, the awful piece of tat that I'd forked out good money on described a gentle parabola on its way to the bin.
Don't be fooled. It's cheap, looks it and breaks (and I didn't treat it at all roughly). And its cable is too short.

Fun:
The quality of this controller just isn't good enough. Barely an hour and a half into playing Metal Gear Solid the left analogue stick was becoming sticky and jamming on. Caused a fair few player deaths and swear words from me. I wouldn't even give it to a child because it just doesn't work.
I suppose I could take the thing apart and see if I could apply some kind of lubrication tot eh sticky joystick, but that's not the point is it. I bought this as NEW.
If I were you I would find a better quality copy or stick with the official item.

not the proper one and broke after a couple uses this is the second time i brought a fake ps2 control and that broke after a few uses

Poor Performance, Avoid!
Analog sticks don't have full 360 degree movement and are clunky, and the D-Pad is spongy. Do yourself a favour and pay that little bit extra for the official controller.

It's not worth half the price they charge!
I bought the control jus over a month ago, in that time the wire has come away from the top and I've had to cellotape it, as my 5 year old brother plays on the PS2 also. Read more
