I bought these to put inside tea light lanterns for Halloween so the children could carry them and be seen in the dark while still looking scary. For that purpose, they are great.
They would work well inside a frosted votive or similar holder where the actual candle cannot be seen clearly but they do look plastic and cheap if actually on display.
Good battery life though and fairly bright.

Arrived really quickly. Package much smaller than I expected for 12 candles. Box opened have to say very disappointed. Smaller than expected and out of the box. Read on! Well don't judge this book by it's cover, wait till its dark, they are amazing. The cheap White plastic during daylight morphs itself into a stunning bright light show of every colour you could imagine, they are unique and look amazing. I have just placed another order. Just be aware a previous review said he received another set of batteries, you don't! The batteries are the 2032 ten pence like and can prove pricey to replace but the quote of 24 hours continous use should see me through the winter.

Ordered a 2nd set once had received 1st set; good if small children around; as night light; or for where you would put a candle; and is unsafe due to small children; pets; or if outside near dry grass etc. do help lift the mood when the weather is dull! young visitors to my house were fascinated. Also good if you are at Uni, and can't light candles due to smoke alarms going off. :-)
