Although there are other reflector arms on the market with slightly different brackets and adjustment methods, this particular version met my needs ideally as my preference was for the ball joint where it sits on the spigot rather than the larger boom arm type clamp on other versions. It's well made with cast metal adjusters (the refector grips are plastic as are the thumb turns) and multi positional. I'm using mine to hold a reflector panel of 180cm x 120cm.

Why only 4 stars ? Well as you can pick up a stand which uses more metal and more joints etc for around £25-£30, this does appear a little over priced at just under £40. If you were going to use it to hold a typical 'non brand' refelector of 110cm (42") then you would be paying approx 3-4 times the cost of the reflector just for the bracket and then have to buy a stand on top. You can see why some studios just prop up a large sheet of white polystyrene against a chair.

In summary even though it's not a bargain, its not a rip off either and I intend buying another having now seen it in the flesh. 5 stars would indicate I love it, 4 stars say I like it. In all honesty its a 4.5 and at the end of the day nobody is forcing you to buy it. If you can't afford it don't buy it and moan, prop your reflector against a chair !!
