I don't think I can say much more than what the Editorial review said, and Linda Hoyle's voice was truly wonderful, she was one of the better female vocalists you'll ever here. The opening track is a killer blues song, called "Backlash Blues," which features some stunning and excellent slide guitar playing by Chris Spedding, who in my opinion, has got to be one of the most underated guitarist's around, the guy has never gotten much recognition, and he is a brilliant guitarist. All of the songs on this CD are great, and their are several styles of music on this CD, much or most of it totally different from her work with the group Affinity, which is also excellent, and I highly recommend anybody taking a listen to it, because that too is an incredible album. It's unfortunate that there's nothing more on Linda Hoyle besides the Affinity 1970 album, and her solo album "Pieces Of Me," from 1971. She just had a fantastic voice, and should have kept singing and making music, she was that good, one of the best female rock vocalists I've ever heard. Get this CD and the Affinity, you won't be disappointed.
