Following the failure of my old photocell I bought this kit but just used the plug in unit with it's standard connector. It brought my lighting system back to life and has worked well in the month or two that I have had it.
Update 22/6/2012
The replacement reviewed above is still going great but another identical unit has failed and dare I say it, I found an identical replacement far cheaper from another supplier (To*******on)

I have now purchased two of these. The first one I tried to install myself - how hard can it be? Simply connect live inputs to outputs on the simple connections. Then align to North and fix.
On attempting to apply power, unit made a sort of buzzing noise - but nothing else happened. Tried switching polarity - still nothing.
Purchased a second one and employed qualified electrician. Same thing happened to his attempts! He could not understand how such a simple device could fail twice! Both now junked - and alternative device purchased - which works fine!

although this unit worked perfectly well when first fitted it wasn't long before it started to fail which now requires me to purchase a new sensor dome

Easy to fit and works well. I use with a timer to set the times I want it to work between.

This sensor has been working well for about six months since installation and there is no problem other that it lights up way too early. It's on a south facing wall with no appreciable shade but it still switches on about an hour before I would have expected. Other than that, fine.

The sensor has now failed and the lights stay on during the day requiring them to be turned off manually.
