The Telephone conversation recording system is a convenient way to record the conversation made from both the sides of calls. It is a 2 way telephony recording system. It automatically starts recording when the handset is lifted and stops when the handset is replaced. The TRE076 is an out-of-the-box solution - supplied ready to use with BT lead, BT double adapter, casstette tape and power supply. Full approval for the UK telephone system.Simply plug into any standard* phone line and it will record conversations held on telephones plugged into any extension sockets elsewhere on the same line. The silent monitoring facility enables a third person to listen in on a telephone conversation without the other persons knowledge.Japanese designed cassette mechanism ensures recordings are of the highest quality. Uses standard cassette tapes and has a two speed option, so a 90 minute tape will record 180 minutes of conversation. Volume control. Battery or mains operation. * Connects to an analogue or broadband phone line and worjs with both corded or cordless (analogue and DECT) telephone sets.

The recorder certainly works, but the downside was that it did not on rewind have a auto switch-off when it reached the end of the tape. Also on Long Play mode the voice recordings were a bit 'wobbly' (Wow and Flutter) was high, although you could understand the conversation. Otherwise it was fine for a cassette recorder system!

Bought the item for an elderly person that was having difficulties with telephone conversation recollection, this has done much to protect them and add to their security. Seems therefore to be a good piece of kit.
