really great product for the price. Its such a good looking thing, and has the capabilities to playback mp3s and wma which is a bonus. plug in any mp3 player or memeory stick and i works fine. Best function by far is the timer switch on function, which allows you to wake up to your mp3's, mw/fm radio or cd. Minor criticism however is that it takes some time to get used to setting it for timer, and that the mp3 sound quality is not so good, having to crank up the volume more than usual to hear it properly.
All in all, a great buy. Makes quite a change from my 25 yr old philips hi fi!

OK - but too much BASS.,

Disappointed with this system. The wood effect finish is OK, but does look a bit cheap - then again, this was a fairly low cost system. However, I don't really care much about the cosmetics - its the sound.
Its got way too much BASS and no tone control. The only way to control the tone is via 4 presets (Rock, Pop, Jazz, and Classical) and none of them really suits - providing either too much Bass or not enough. Theres also a Bass boost! Needless to say, I always have this set to OFF - however, everytime the system starts up, its back ON again. It seems to default to ON and doesn't remember its setting when turned OFF. Quite annoying. Other than this, the systems fine.
