Product Description

Product Description

Two late 1970's albums from the jazz violinist Pointer, which were produced by Dave Grusin and Larry Rosen. Both albums made the US Top 200 Albums chart, with the vocals of Patti Austin featured on 'Hold On'. Pointer sadly died from a stroke at the young age of 39 in 1994. Digitally remastered and slipcased and with new notes.

5.0 out of 5 stars 70s jazz funk with a difference 2 July 2014

Quality 70s jazz funk with a bit of a classical twist, though very mild, but enough to make this pair unique. Quite refined in an odd way.
Nice clear sound too, the remastering has been well done. Well worth your time and money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wallking my mind back to another time. 25 April 2014

I use music to provide flow for my day. This music compilation helps me to think, to smile, and simply just be. Too often, I find that it's not possible to find music that suits all moods as easily as does this music. When I listen without using buds, other people join in the listening experience with me with heads bobbing, etc.. That's all good. That's the power of good music.
5.0 out of 5 stars Gateway to real music 24 Dec 2013

This CD was used in a nostalgic fashion to renumerate lost emotions as to what real music used to sound like.
