in conjunction with the trend pocket hole cutter and the folding flexible mini saw trend now sell. neat plugs cut out of mahogany oak and softwoods so far. Be aware it needs to be fixed in a pillar/bench drill or a drill holder,[I wasnt but bought a cheap pillar drill and all turned out well, no regrets] this set up has added another dimension to an already considerable workshop.

Should only be used in a good bench or pillar drill, and the wood needs to be held firmly at right angles to the cutter otherwise the cutter will judder a lot when it contacts the wood. I used one to cut some oak plugs, it did the job well although after cutting two or three plugs it got hot enough to scorch the wood, even after changing rpm and feed rates and regularly lifting the cutter. On a couple of occasions it jammed (although my bench drill's not one of the best...). The instructions recommend using a PTFE dry lubricant.
